Accept Ozow payments on your OpenCart store. The Ozow module is compatible with OpenCart 4.x.

Older versions

Modules for older versions of OpenCart are available on request. Contact support@ozow.com or your account manager if you need a module for an older OpenCart version.

Before you start

  • You need an active Ozow merchant account. If you don't have one, sign up at ozow.com/merchants.
  • You need a working OpenCart 4.x installation.
  • Ozow only accepts payments in South African RandZAR The ISO 4217 code for the South African rand, and the currency every amount on this site is in unless a page says otherwise. Amounts are decimal rand rather than cents, so 100.00 is one hundred rand. (ZAR). Make sure your OpenCart store currency is set to ZAR.
  • You will need admin access to your OpenCart installation.

Installation

Step 1, Prepare the module file

  1. Download the plugin using the link above
  2. Unzip the file to a temporary location on your computer
  3. Select the admin, catalog, and install.json files and create a new zip file named exactly ozow.ocmod.zip

Important

The zip file must be named ozow.ocmod.zip exactly. OpenCart will not recognise the module if the file is named differently.

Step 2, Upload the module

  1. Log in to the admin section of your OpenCart installation
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsInstaller
  3. Upload the ozow.ocmod.zip file
  4. Once uploaded, you will see Ozow Payment Gateway listed under installed extensions
  5. Click the Install button next to it

Step 3, Enable the payment module

  1. Navigate to Extensions and select Payments from the dropdown
  2. You will see Ozow Secure Payments listed in the Payments section
  3. Click the Install button to enable it
  4. Once installed, click the Edit button

Step 4, Configure the module

  1. Set the payment status for Completed, Failed, and Pending payments
  2. Enter your merchant credentials, your API key, private key, and site codeSite code The unique code for a site registered under a merchant. A site is a place to transact: a website, or a branch of a store. A merchant can have several, and each transaction names the one it belongs to, so sending the wrong code files the payment against the wrong place. are available in your Ozow Dashboard
  3. Select your preferred test mode setting
  4. Enable the payment module
  5. Click Save
