Accept Ozow payments on your Shopify store. The Ozow Shopify integration is set up directly from your Ozow Dashboard, no plugin download required.

Before you start

  • You need an active Ozow merchant account. If you don't have one, sign up at ozow.com/merchants.
  • You need an active Shopify store.
  • Ozow only accepts payments in South African RandZAR The ISO 4217 code for the South African rand, and the currency every amount on this site is in unless a page says otherwise. Amounts are decimal rand rather than cents, so 100.00 is one hundred rand. (ZAR). Make sure your Shopify store currency is set to ZAR before activating Ozow.

Installation

  1. Log in to your Ozow Dashboard at dash.ozow.com
  2. Navigate to IntegrationsApplications in the left menu, or go directly to dash.ozow.com/MerchantAdmin/Applications
  3. Select the Shopify option
  4. Click Add store
  5. Select the merchant site you want to link to your Shopify store from the MerchantSiteId dropdown
  6. Enter your Shopify store name in the ShopifyStoreName field
  7. Click Submit: you will be redirected to Shopify to complete the installation

Can't see the Integrations tab?

Access to the Integrations section of the Dashboard requires a specific permission to be enabled on your account. If you don't see it, contact support@ozow.com or your account manager to request access.

Can't find your store name?

If your entered Shopify store name does not work, try your Shopify domain name instead. You can find it in Shopify by going to SettingsDomains. Under "Shopify-managed domains" you'll see your .myshopify.com URL. The part before .myshopify.com is your Shopify domain name. You can also find it in your browser's address bar while in the Shopify admin; it appears in the format https://[your-store-name].myshopify.com/admin.

Uninstalling

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin portal
  2. Navigate to SettingsPayments
  3. Under Supported payment options, find Ozow and click Manage
  4. Click Deactivate Ozow to disable the integration
  5. Once deactivated, click Uninstall Ozow to remove it completely
  6. Confirm by clicking Uninstall Ozow in the confirmation dialog

Important

Uninstalling Ozow will prevent you from completing outstanding tasks on existing orders, such as refunds, voids, or capturing payments. Make sure all outstanding orders are resolved before uninstalling.

Migrating from an older Shopify integration

If you have an older Ozow Shopify integration installed, follow these steps to migrate:

  1. Follow the uninstall steps above to remove the old integration
  2. Once removed, follow the installation steps above to install the new integration
